About Kiwigrass

Kiwigrass is the New Zealand Bluegrass Festival.

Kiwigrass is being organised by a keen group of bluegrass lovers in New Zealand. Our goal is to raise the profile of bluegrass in New Zealand, promote New Zealand based bluegrass musicians to the world, and bring the joy of the American bluegrass festival experience to New Zealand.

Dates: 1-3 February 2019. Kick off Friday evening, wrap up late Sunday afternoon.

Venue: Narrows Park. Hamilton, New Zealand.

Narrows Park was established as a Christian Camp in 1953. Narrows is a registered non profit charity organisation and today it operates largely as a leadership farm, working predominantly with youth and young adults, developing leadership skills and providing practical opportunities in a camp environment. When Narrows isn’t running events the camp hosts groups including church camps, sporting groups, school camps, community organisations, weddings and everything in between. Their full staff and large pool of volunteers will be taking great care of Kiwigrass.  Kiwigrass is not a Christian or religiously-affiliated event.

There are 120 cabin beds, 24 powered camping sites, and acres of unpowered camping available.
