The Barnyard Bangers

This Americana group is comprised of some heavyweight NZ Music Talent – all are from other groups and songwriting careers. They recently came together for a Creative New Zealand Project. The Barnyard Bangers are Gavin Dowling on Banjo; Krissy Jackson on fiddle; Cat Tunks – songwriter/Vocalist; multi-instrumentalist/guitarist and percussion player Mike Barker from ‘Swamp Thing’; and NZ’s iconic Kara Gordon on cigar box guitar.

The Bangers play songs written by Cat and arranged in a fun Country-Bluegrass style. See some of their work here: and you can learn more about Cat Tunks at

Downunderdogs: at the bottom of the map and on top of the world

The Downunderdogs are Luthier pup Jack MacKenzie (left in photo), tall pup Peter Dyer, and smiley pup Cathy Dyer.

Of course they don’t really bark and they certainly don’t bite. They are always a great big smiley treat, so you won’t want to miss.

Downunderdogs is cross picking harmonising yodelling strumming swinging originalising earwigging Americana heaven.

Best song [ed’s personal bias] “My baby loves me because I’m clean Inside,” a Peter Dyer original.

Their music has a charming and genuine flavour you won’t hear anywhere else.
