Can we swim in the river?
The Waikato river is not safe for swimming and in any case cannot be accessed from Narrow Park, but the good news is there is a swimming pool (purchase tickets at reception)ย if it gets hot.
Can I bring the kids?
Absolutely, Kiwigrass is a family-friendly event.
Things to keep in mind:
- There are no babysitting services available and you are responsible for your child’s safety and behaviour at all times.
- There will be alcohol consumption on site.
- “Youth Ticket” holders must have a “responsible adult of record” who can be contacted at any time if necessary.
- There is a great playground available for the kids, and a swim beach.
- Young aspiring musicians are strongly encouraged to sign up for a spot at the walk-up stage.
- Under fives are free.
Should I bring a camp chair for the concerts?
There will be plastic chairs provided for the concerts inside the Don Rowlands Centre.
You are encouraged to bring your own chair for the workshops and walk up stage at the Podium Cafe.
