Based in Sydney, Australia, the Joy Givers are a newgrass band of experienced musicians who like working on vocal harmonies while sampling vintage craft cheeses. Inspired by Aubrey Haynie, Uncle Earl, The Jaywalkers, The Stanley Brothers, The Straybirds, The Johnson Mountain Boys, and Kenny Baker they love the bluegrass tradition of reinventing old-time string band music through jazz improvisation and percussive dynamics… occasionally refined it with a wee drop of cinnamon whisky.
